Our Story
Imbued with the core values of wisdom, advancement, and excellence, TLA makes it their mission to establish a loyal and supportive circle that will house women of Engineering and Architecture, celebrate female excellence, and encourage a culture of civic engagement and volunteerism that will benefit the profession and the community in general.
Tau Lambda Alpha, The Lady Argonauts, was founded at the University of the Philippines on June 29, 2012. Taking inspiration from the Greek heroine Atalanta, who brought female presence within the male-controlled Argo ship in search of the Golden Fleece, TLA is committed to empowering women from all walks of life and advocating for women’s representation and recognition in the historically male-dominated field of Engineering and Architecture profession.
